These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Golf Guru web application operated by DaGolfGuru ("we", "us") and accessible at dagolfguru.com. By creating an account or using Golf Guru you agree to these Terms.
1. About Golf Guru
Golf Guru is a free, social golf picks game. Users select four golfers for each tournament and earn points based on live leaderboard performance. Golf Guru is purely for entertainment and social competition — no money, prizes, or wagers of any kind are involved.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years of age to use Golf Guru. By creating an account you confirm you meet this requirement. Golf Guru is currently operated as a private, invite-only application.
3. Your Account
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
- Your display name must not be offensive, impersonating, or misleading.
- You may not share your account or allow others to access it.
- You may delete your account at any time by contacting admin@dagolfguru.com.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use Golf Guru for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to manipulate scores, leaderboards, or other users' picks
- Exploit bugs or vulnerabilities in the application
- Scrape, reverse-engineer, or reproduce any part of the service without permission
- Harass, abuse, or threaten other users
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.
5. Picks & Scoring
Picks are binding once submitted. Scores are calculated automatically based on live golf data provided by SportsData.io. While we strive for accuracy, Golf Guru does not guarantee that live scores or event bonuses will always be correct or up to date. Scoring decisions made by us are final.
6. Leagues
Leagues are created and managed by their owners. We are not responsible for decisions made by league administrators, including score offsets, membership, or results. If you have a dispute with a league owner, contact us and we will do our best to assist.
7. Notifications
By opting in to push notifications or email alerts you consent to receive tournament updates, results, and other Golf Guru communications. You may opt out at any time via your Profile settings or by emailing admin@dagolfguru.com.
8. Intellectual Property
All content, design, and code within Golf Guru is owned by DaGolfGuru. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of the application without our express written permission.
9. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability
Golf Guru is provided "as is" without any warranty. We make no guarantees regarding availability, accuracy of scores, or continuity of service. To the fullest extent permitted by law, DaGolfGuru shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.
10. Changes to the Service
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue Golf Guru at any time. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of significant changes via the app or email.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of Golf Guru after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Ireland. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts.
